Radiohead on MTV - (Unfortunately, Not A Reality Show)

In today's musical landscape, there are very few, if any, assurances. Critics can argue the credibilities of such-and-such band all the way until Chinese Democracy drops. Over the years of filtering through the musical canon I can come up with three definite truths that everyone can agree to:

1) Johnny Marr is the coolest guitar player ever.(yes, over Page and Hendrix)

2) The keyboard riff to Salt-N-Peppas "Push It" will immediately cause people to scream loudly/get naked/set shit on fire.

3) Radiohead are INFALLIBLE.

Thom Yorke has been setting the bar for forward-thinking rock for over a decade. Growing out of the explosion of "Creep" in the 90's, Yorke has bewildered fans and critics by producing landmark albums that have become catalog essentials as they each found ways to capture pain, beauty, struggle, and love. This vortex of emotions and audio experiences construct the closest thing that anyone can describe as a definite Radiohead sound.

Yorke, who has been well-known for his outspoken political beliefs, calls to our attention the exploitation of Eastern laborers (in case we've forgotten) in the video for "All I Need" off of their latest album, In Rainbows. The video was made in conjunction with MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) depicting the very different lives between Eastern and Western youths.

The video itself adds even more depth to a song that rests on anguish both sonically and lyrically, "I am all the days/you choose to ignore...It's all wrong/It's all right/It's all wrong/It's all right." People say that music can very well change the world. Radiohead don't just believe in that idea - they are the physical manifestation of it.
