Tell All Your Friends....Quietly

Photobucket

It seems that New York semi-emo rockers Taking Back Sunday will be performing a secret show on May 5th at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY. A myspace bulletin was sent out earlier today by the band not-so-subtlety hinting at a performance under the pseudonym Lance Striker and the Rockoholics.

The band has played under this moniker previously according to this piece from TV.com:

On one show on Halloween, the band dressed up as a blues bar jam band, named “Lance Striker and the Rockaholics,” even playing blues music for ten minutes.

The following is the bulletin sent out by the band:

Hello Friends!

Pay close attention if you are in the NY area. Close close friends of ours, Lance Striker and the Rockoholics are about to play a rare show in the neighborhood. Some might even say they sound a bit like us but we sure don't see it. Anyhow, the rock will be brought on Monday, May 5 at the infamous Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale. Special guests will be there and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sean McGrath Fund which is used by the Princeton Area Community Foundation to further both Cancer Education and Music Programs.

Sounds like something that shouldn't be missed, doesn't it?

Tickets are $20 each with a limit of 2 and are on sale now. All entry is by will call only and the ticketholders will be writstbanded and have to enter the show. It will be worth it, we promise.

So CLICK HERE and reserve your spot quickly cause that joint is small!

Love
Taking Back Sunday and the Funoholics

Side Note: It would show some major cahones if TBS showed up in front of a packed audience and began playing blues tunes for the entire set. They would certainly get lynched but it would probably be the ballsiest thing ever since Lou Reed put out "Metal Machine Music".
